Impact and future vision
Recent research by Italian scholar Silvia Semenzin delved into the concept of “blockchain for good,” noting that many initiatives are driven by profit motives or lack awareness of financial inequalities. The BGA aims to alleviate such concerns by operating as a non-profit organisation.
Lily Liu, President of Solana Foundation, believes the collaboration will bolster efforts to utilise blockchain for global benefit, citing projects like Helium and Hivemapper as examples of impactful change facilitated by the alliance. She emphasises Solana’s role in enabling accessible cross-border remittances and fostering a more inclusive financial system.
