- Adobe also teased upcoming features for the visionOS Firefly app, including the generation of surrounding panoramic views, while the visionOS version of Adobe Lightroom offers a simplified interface tailored for gesture controls on the Apple device.
Adobe‘s Firefly AI, a creative generative AI feature for Photoshop, and Lightroom, a popular photo editing software, will be native apps on the Apple Vision Pro.
The creative software giant announced in a press release that the new Firefly visionOS app is specifically designed for Apple Vision Pro, allowing users to move and place images generated by the application in the physical space of the real world, such as walls and tables.
For those familiar with the web version, the interface of the Firefly visionOS app should be recognisable. Users simply input text descriptions in a bottom prompt box, click “Generate,” and the system will create four different images. The relevant images can then be dragged from the main application window, allowing users to place them in their homes like virtual posters or prints.

The Firefly AI model emphasises the business security
The Firefly AI model behind this new visionOS app emphasises considerations for business security, embedding metadata in the image with content credentials like a “nutrition label” to transparently mark it as AI-generated. Adobe also revealed an upcoming feature: the ability to generate “surrounding panoramic views, 360-degree environments” for the visionOS Firefly experience, without providing specific details.
Simultaneously, the team introduced the visionOS native Adobe Lightroom photo editing application. The visionOS version of Lightroom is similar to the iPad version but features a cleaner interface, making gesture controls easier compared to the more feature-rich desktop software.
Given Apple’s historical focus on creative products and Adobe’s robust support for Apple chips, the Vision Pro, with its ability to visualise space, may be a worthwhile investment for creative professionals.
