TOFFS Technologies: Scaling up fast

TOFFS Technologies Pte Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered company specialising in secure multi-CDN services. Founded in 2014 by former Akamai executives Jason Kong and Philip Chua, the company focuses on improving web delivery speeds while protecting against cyber threats such as DDoS and DNS poisoning attacks. TOFFS embeds its caching and security software within data centres across Asia, targeting underserved mid-tier cities beyond major hubs. This regional focus distinguishes TOFFS in a crowded market dominated by global players.

Since its founding, TOFFS has experienced rapid growth, expanding its workforce to between 60 and 100 employees and generating nearly US $8.2 million in annual revenue by 2020. The company earned recognition as the 30th fastest-growing Asia-Pacific firm in 2020 by The Straits Times and Statista. TOFFS also secured a multimillion-dollar contract to provide DDoS mitigation services to Singapore government agencies and statutory bodies, demonstrating its enterprise-grade capabilities.

TOFFS Technologies: Navigating an evolving threat landscape

The cybersecurity and CDN industry faces increasing challenges from sophisticated cyberattacks, including large-scale DDoS incidents often exceeding 800 Gbps. TOFFS combats these threats by offering multi-CDN and multi-DNS strategies, which help prevent single points of failure and improve network resilience. The company’s managed services and distributed infrastructure allow it to maintain service continuity during outages or attacks.

TOFFS has also embraced industry innovations such as AI-driven threat detection, edge caching, and elastic hosting. This enables agile responses to emerging threats and improves performance monitoring. Despite fierce competition from major global providers like Akamai and Cloudflare, TOFFS’s regional expertise and tailored client solutions give it a competitive edge, especially in Asia-Pacific’s mid-tier cities where infrastructure challenges remain significant.
