Vittorio Colao's career is best read as a study in how telecom operating experience travels into public digital policy and later into growth investment. At Vodafone he ran a multinational network business through recession, regulation, convergence, India pressure and one of the largest portfolio resets in telecom history. In the Italian government he moved from operating networks to designing public programs for broadband, 5G, cloud and digital administration.
