组织Amazon Registry Services, Inc. is an internet registry.
一个开发者团队在权衡.bot、.now 或其他亚马逊相关域名后缀时,不仅是在购买一个标签。他们还在为一个政策边界、渠道关系、滥用处理以及信任主张买单。
The dispute over .AMAZON was not resolved by a single veto, judgement or bargain. It advanced only when distinct powers aligned: governments advised, an accountability panel identified defective decision-making, the ICANN Board changed programme status, negotiators converted public-policy demands into administrable safeguards, contracts made selected promises enforceable, and a separate root-zone process completed delegation.
In the .AMAZON dispute, governments did not own the root-zone switch and an independent review panel did not acquire it. The decisive power moved through presumptions, reasons, application status, contract terms and finally delegation—showing how consensus can stop a namespace long before it can lawfully settle who controls it.
A developer team weighing a .bot, .now or other Amazon-linked ending is not only buying a label. It is paying for a policy perimeter, a channel relationship, an abuse desk and a claim that a specialized name can carry trust that a cheaper .com plus account authentication may not carry on its own.
