    • Ocean Base signed an agreement with Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) to jointly explore technological innovations to improve the performance of database systems and advance green computing practices.
    • Database researchers continue to explore optimization strategies to reduce CPU and memory consumption, shorten query times, and improve the overall performance of database systems.

OceanBase has signed an agreement with Nanyang Technological University to support advanced research in database optimization, with a focus on improving the performance of parameterized queries.

    Sign an agreement

The protocol will support advanced research in database optimization, focusing on improving the performance of parameterized queries.

    A lot of work

Parameterized query is widely used in database systems. It is a data-intensive computing task, which usually requires a lot of computing resources and energy.

Therefore, database researchers continuously explore optimization strategies to reduce CPU and memory consumption, shorten query times, improve the overall performance of database systems, and foster more environmentally friendly database operations.Although machine learning techniques have been applied to parameterized queries as part of that research direction, current approaches face limitations when dealing with complex queries.
