    What happened

Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel), Asia’s leading communications technology group, 19 August 2024, and Bridge Alliance, a leading mobile alliance of 35 member operators from around the world, today announced a strategic partnership to bring Singtel’s GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offering to enterprises in the region.

The partnership follows Singtel’s announcement in February that it will launch its GPUaaS later this year, which will provide organisations with access to Nvidia’s AI computing power so they can quickly and cost-effectively deploy AI at scale to accelerate growth and innovation.

Continuing to support the digital transformation of Southeast Asia’s digital economy, Bill Chang, CEO of Singtel’s Digital InfraCo division, said Paragon has carefully orchestrated a multi-edge computing and Nvidia GPU environment to enable customers to deploy 5G use cases quickly and at scale.

As part of the agreement, Bridge Alliance member operators (BMOs) will gain access to Singtel’s GPUaaS offerings. Bridge Alliance will assist BMO in fast-tracking its go-to-market strategy and effectively drive the success of the GPUaaS offering with the enterprise.

    Why it’s important

As a leading mobile alliance, through its extensive reach and ability to integrate services across multiple markets, this initiative reaffirms the value of the Bridge Alliance ecosystem as a preferred solutions partner to drive optimisation and innovation, especially for companies with multinational operations.

Bridge Alliance’s partnership with local telcos in Singapore will help democratise and accelerate the use of Artificial Intelligence by providing tools for businesses across all industries.Achieving higher productivity and business value through the development of next-generation digital infrastructure and solutions while facilitating the digital transformation of Southeast Asia’s digital economy.

At a time when AI technology is being rapidly and widely adopted across all industries, this partnership provides the technology industry with the right environment to enhance and accelerate the transformation of industries into emerging tech industries. The cloud “GPU-as-a-Service” model for AI will also enable efficient and scalable adoption of the technology.
