What happened

Lumen Technologies has partnered with Google Cloud to boost network operations with AI, following collaborations with AWS, Microsoft, and Meta. Lumen will use Google Cloud’s AI tools, like the Vertex AI platform and Gemini models, to improve efficiency and customer service. This includes AI-powered digital twins to detect network issues before they affect customers, supporting Lumen’s proactive network management.

Google Cloud will also use Lumen’s Private Connectivity Fabric to enhance its network, essential for meeting the growing demand for AI services. As Google Cloud VP Bikash Koley said, “Lumen is a trusted network for AI, and we’re excited to partner with them to provide real-time insights”.
