Tesla Cybertruck finally arrives 4 years late, price double expectations

  • Tesla Cybertruck has captured the attention of consumers worldwide with its unique design and high performance.
  • However, it was disappointing that the actual price exceeded expectations and production was delayed.

Four years have passed since Tesla Cybertruck was unveiled, and the time has finally come for the first deliveries.

It starts at $60,990, more than 50 percent higher than the initial projected price given by CEO Elon Musk in 2019.

The price increase may narrow the appeal of the vehicle, but Musk has emphasized its utility and performance, stating that it has “more utility than a truck” and is “faster than a sports car”.

Here are some of its key features:

Exoskeleton

Made of shiny flat shaped stainless steel, the vehicle features an ultra-hard stainless steel exoskeleton that greatly reduces dents, damage and long-term corrosion. Maintenance operations are quick and easy.

Musk’s insistence that the Cybertrucks must be bulletproof led to a more complicated production process. Tesla Acoustic glass is highly durable and provides protection for passengers.

Performance and efficiency

With a range of up to 340 miles on a single charge, Supercharging quickly recovers to 136 miles in just 15 minutes.

In Beast Mode, it accelerates from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds† while maintaining high-speed stability.

Thanks to Steer-by-Wire and rear-wheel steering, it delivers sports car-like handling and a turning radius better than most sedans.

Towing capacity

With a payload of 2,500 pounds and a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds, it has the pulling power of an African elephant. An adjustable air suspension with up to 12 inches of travel and 17 inches of ground clearance ensures easy adaptation to any terrain.

Vehicle interior space

Spacious interior with 6’x4′ bed and front luggage, roof and hidden storage cabinets provide additional space.

With a maximum load of 2,500 lbs. and 67 cu. ft. of locking storage, it meets all carrying needs.

When cargo is full, it locks securely under the bed cover and folds down the second row of seats to free up an additional 54 cubic feet of storage space.
