    • Focus on cybersecurity, international cooperation, and digital resilience
    • TNC Exchange and immersive theatre to drive collaboration and learning

One of the most influential global events in the research and education networking field, TNC25, will be held from 9–13 June 2025 in the seaside city of Brighton, United Kingdom. Hosted by the UK’s national research and education network, Jisc, this year’s theme, “United for Brilliance”, highlights the spirit of collaboration that defines the community, breaking down barriers and sharing knowledge across diverse domains.

TNC25 to spotlight key digital challenges

TNC25 will convene global leaders in research and education networking in Brighton from 9 to 13 June 2025. The event will centre on cybersecurity, network resilience, and international cooperation—critical themes in an era of growing digital dependency and cross-border research efforts. Hosted by Jisc, the UK’s national digital agency for higher education and research, the event is expected to attract a wide spectrum of stakeholders from academia, research institutions, and technology sectors. With a focus on solutions that anticipate future demands, the agenda aims to stimulate dialogue around best practices, technical innovation, and policy coordination. This year’s theme, “United for Brilliance,” embodies the conference’s mission to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration. Against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving digital landscape, TNC25 provides a vital platform for addressing urgent technological questions while also looking ahead. The event invites the global research and education community to not only connect and exchange but to help shape a resilient digital future together.

Brighton to host TNC Exchange and learning spaces

TNC25’s setting in Brighton reflects a deliberate choice to align the event’s spirit with the city’s reputation for openness and innovation. The Brighton Dome will serve as the main venue, while additional sessions and networking events will be held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront. A key highlight is the TNC Exchange, a lively and inclusive zone featuring partner exhibitions, the Sparkle-powered TNC Café, and relaxing social corners designed for informal interaction. At the centre lies the Exchange Theatre, a new immersive venue where presentations by Gold and Platinum partners will be delivered via silent disco headsets. This feature enables participants to engage in content-rich sessions while enjoying refreshments during conference breaks. By embedding experiential learning into the format, TNC25 reinforces its identity as not just a forum for lectures, but as a hub for discovery, networking, and shared purpose. The Exchange is a celebration of community engagement and tech-enabled collaboration.

Jisc’s role as conference organiser underscores its strategic commitment to global cooperation and knowledge dissemination.
