    Connected North 2025: Driving connectivity and innovation

    • Connected North 2024 saw a record 2,313 attendees, showcasing the growing importance of the North’s connectivity and digital sectors.
    • The event attracted a wide range of professionals, including operators, vendors, and public sector representatives, fostering valuable networking and collaboration.
    • Looking ahead, Connected North 2025 will expand with 200 speakers, 3,000 attendees, and six key conference themes, focusing on regional growth and technological innovation.

    Connected North 2024: A record-breaking event

    Connected North 2024 set a new attendance record with 2,313 participants, reflecting the ever-growing importance of connectivity, digital infrastructure, and community sectors across the North of the UK. The event saw strong representation from diverse sectors: 33% from B2C/B2B operators, 31% from vendors, and 25% from the public sector, contributing to rich discussions and collaborations. A standout feature was the dynamic startup pitching competition, where emerging companies competed for the ‘Connected North Startup of the Year’ award. With over 6,900 contacts made, the event provided ample opportunities for networking and fostered lasting relationships among attendees.

    Anticipating a bigger, more impactful event in 2025

    Looking to 2025, Connected North promises to expand its reach with a target of 3,000 attendees and 200 expert speakers. The event will cover six exciting themes, including ‘Gigabit North’, ‘Smart North’, and ‘Innovate North’. These themes are designed to explore critical aspects of the region’s digital infrastructure, technological innovation, and strategies to increase global competitiveness. The 2025 edition will feature keynotes and panel discussions from influential leaders in the public and private sectors, sharing insights into connectivity’s role in driving social and economic growth.

    Opportunities for networking, learning, and growth

    Connected North 2025 will offer unparalleled opportunities for networking, learning, and business development. Attendees can meet industry disruptors and innovators, with access to a comprehensive attendee list and a pre-event networking tool. With a focus on creating connections, the event will facilitate the development of potential partnerships and customer relationships across various sectors, including telecom giants, alternative network experts, and government bodies. Furthermore, participants will engage with thought leaders from over 250 organisations, exploring the future of digital connectivity and its role in regional growth.
