    • The partnership will enhance cloud services and AI-driven innovation across key industries in Saudi Arabia.
    • STC Group has been recognised as an AWS System Integrator Premier partner, enabling widespread cloud adoption.

What happened: Saudi Arabia’s digital future gets a boost with STC Group and AWS partnership

STC Group and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating digital transformation in Saudi Arabia. As part of this collaboration, STC Group has achieved AWS’s highest partnership tier as a System Integrator Premier Partner, reinforcing its role as a key player in the region’s technology sector.

The initiative will integrate AWS’s cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Bedrock, with STC Group’s extensive reach across the Middle East. This will enable businesses across industries—healthcare, finance, sports, education, energy, logistics, and government—to leverage AI-driven solutions and scalable cloud services. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate seamless migration to AWS cloud services, ensuring businesses in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait benefit from secure and compliant digital infrastructure.

“This collaboration aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, accelerating digital adoption across critical sectors,” said Riyadh Muawad, Chief Business Officer of STC Group. AWS’s Tanuja Randery, Vice President for EMEA, added that the initiative would empower organisations with cutting-edge technology, positioning Saudi talent at the forefront of the digital economy. The strategic move comes amid growing cloud adoption in Saudi Arabia, with analysts predicting a $4 billion public cloud market by 2027.

    Why it’s important

The collaboration between STC Group and AWS is a major milestone in Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey. By integrating generative AI and machine learning into cloud-based services, this initiative will drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance innovation across multiple sectors.

Saudi Arabia’s economy is rapidly evolving, with cloud computing and AI projected to contribute $130 billion to GDP by 2030, according to PwC. As the Kingdom continues investing in digital infrastructure, partnerships like this will be crucial in developing a knowledge-driven economy. Additionally, with the public cloud services market growing at an annual rate of 23%, businesses of all sizes stand to benefit from scalable and secure cloud solutions.

Beyond economic impact, this partnership strengthens Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional tech leader. With STC Group acting as a bridge between AWS’s global expertise and local businesses, the Kingdom is poised to become a hub for AI and cloud innovation in the Middle East.
