    H5 Data Centers partners with DE-CIX for San Antonio connectivity

    • This collaboration enables local networks to connect directly with major content providers in Dallas, reducing latency and eliminating the need for third-party transport solutions.

    What happened: H5 Data Centers Partners with DE-CIX to Enhance Connectivity in San Antonio

    H5 Data Centers, a leading wholesale data center provider, has announced a partnership with DE-CIX to provide turnkey connectivity through the SAT-IX Internet Exchange in San Antonio. This collaboration allows networks in San Antonio to seamlessly connect and peer with networks in Dallas without the need for third-party transport solutions or remote cross-connect charges.

    San Antonio, located approximately 275 miles from Dallas, now benefits from access to DE-CIX Dallas, the premier peering platform in Texas. Despite the distance, this connection offers the lowest latency option for accessing most content networks across the state. The partnership aims to enhance the availability of low-latency paths and lower the cost to peer, thereby closing the digital divide.

    Why it’s important 

    This partnership significantly improves connectivity for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in San Antonio, providing direct access to a vast majority of content networks. This enhancement ensures faster and more reliable delivery of digital content to end users. Additionally, SAT-IX offers diverse connections to multiple DE-CIX Dallas switches, ensuring full redundancy and increased resiliency for network paths.
