    Telstra rolls out new core restoration for enhanced resiliency

    • Telstra Wholesale has introduced a new Core Restoration feature for its wavelength services, designed to enhance network resiliency by automatically rerouting traffic during outages.
    • The feature is available on new connections with 100Gbps or 400Gbps bandwidths across six intercapital routes, aimed at reducing downtime and disruption risks.
    • Dipan Patel highlighted the strategic importance of the feature in Telstra’s commitment to providing reliable, high-capacity connectivity solutions.

    Innovative resiliency solution

    Telstra Wholesale has launched a new Core Restoration feature that provides a more resilient option for high-capacity wavelength services. This software-driven failover automatically reroutes traffic if a disruption occurs, effectively reducing downtime.

    Service availability and specifications

    The Core Restoration feature is now accessible for bandwidths of 100Gbps or 400Gbps on new single access Wavelength services along six intercapital routes. It targets customers needing reduced disruption risks and less downtime in the event of network outages.
