    • QCell Ltd is The Gambia’s leading telecom company, and offers both 5G Fixed and Mobile Services, continuing their legacy of innovation in the region.
    • QCell’s 5G network promises to revolutionize connectivity in The Gambia, offering faster speeds, lower latency, and enhanced network reliability.
    • Users must visit the nearest QCell Customer Care Office to request 5G activation and sign a User Acceptance Form. This ensures that customers are fully informed and prepared to leverage the new technology.

QCell Ltd is revolutionising The Gambia’s digital landscape with the introduction of 5G services, solidifying its role as the country’s leading telecom provider and continuing its legacy of innovation and commitment to enhancing connectivity.

    5G services and coverage

QCell’s 5G services are currently available in select locations, including Banjul, Kairaba Avenue, Bakau-Fajara, Senegambia, and Brusubi Turntable. As the service is gradually rolled out, users outside these areas will automatically switch to the next best available network, 4G LTE.

The company offers two primary 5G services: 5G Fixed Services and 5G Mobile Services. The Fixed Services are designed for institutions and homes, utilising Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) or Mifi devices to deliver high-speed internet. For 5G Mobile Services, customers can enjoy the enhanced speeds on their existing voice SIM cards, provided they request activation at a QCell outlet.

    QCell’s legacy of Innovation

QCell’s journey is marked by a series of firsts in The Gambia’s telecom sector. Established in 2009 by Gambian entrepreneur Muhammed Jah, QCell quickly became the country’s first provider of 3G mobile internet, followed by the introduction of 4G WiMax internet, and eventually, 4G+ mobile internet in 2017. The company’s philosophy, “Sunu Buss,” meaning “ours” in Wolof, reflects its deep-rooted commitment to serving the Gambian community and advancing the nation’s digital infrastructure.

Beyond mobile services, QCell is also The Gambia’s leading ISP, offering broadband internet services and advanced VPN solutions to a wide range of clients, including government agencies, NGOs, corporate institutions, and diplomatic missions.

    About QCell

QCell Ltd, The Gambia’s leading telecommunications and internet service provider, continues to set the pace in the country’s digital landscape with the rollout of 5G services. As the first and only Gambian-owned telecom company, QCell has consistently been at the forefront of technological advancements in the region, and its latest venture into 5G technology reaffirms its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
