ECC Solutions: Egypt’s premier data fortress

    • ECC Solutions launched Egypt’s first ISO‑27001 & PCI‑DSS certified data centre in late 2001, now serving 850+ clients and operating CRIX.
    • The company stays ahead of sector challenges through integration of security, cloud, and resilient infrastructure amid rising cyber threats.

ECC Solutions: 20‑Year legacy of data excellence

Founded in 2001 with a clear vision—to build a world‑class data centre—ECC Solutions began servicing the Egyptian market in the last quarter of the same year. It quickly captured the premium end of Egypt’s IT value chain, establishing itself as the first data centre in the country to secure ISO‑27001, ISO‑9001 and PCI‑DSS certifications . Built in 6th October City, its facility supports colocation, dedicated hosting, cloud services, web development and professional IT services.

Today ECC serves over 850 customers with 24/7 security, remote hands, UPS, generators, CCTV, and FM‑200 fire suppression systems. Notably, its centre hosted the Cairo Regional Internet Exchange (CRIX), inaugurated in December 2002—a critical peering point that keeps Egyptian internet traffic local.

The local data centre market is rapidly evolving, driven by surging demand for cloud, AI workloads, and data localisation. Indeed, the regional centre supporting government big‑data and AI expansion recently opened near Ain Sokhna . ECC Solutions faces industry‑wide challenges: ensuring uptime in a heat‑intensive environment, bolstering resilience against cyberattacks, and staying compliant with evolving standards.

To meet these challenges, ECC has layered its infrastructure with advanced security protocols, enlisting expert staff trained in networking, systems, and cybersecurity. Its LinkedIn indicates a focused pivot into “cutting‑edge cybersecurity solutions tailored to meet evolving demands” for businesses across Egypt.

Innovation at the core of ECC Solutions

ECC remains committed to innovation: offering flexible co‑location (from single racks to private halls), cloud services that alleviate the need for large in‑house IT teams, and professional application management. Hosting CRIX represented a major leap forward in regional digital sovereignty by facilitating local traffic routing.

The company’s future roadmap is expected to integrate AI-driven monitoring, edge data capabilities, and scalability to support Egypt’s national digital transformation—helping public and private sectors use data more effectively. The regional data centre market is projected to grow further as Egypt advances its national cloud and AI ambitions .
