Why it’s important

This partnership is significant due to the rapid growth and importance of edge computing across multiple industries. According to MarketsandMarkets, a leading market research firm, the edge computing market is expected to grow from $36.5 billion in 2021 to $87.3 billion by 2026, driven by the increasing need for real-time data processing and reduced latency in IoT applications.

VIA Technologies’ collaboration with Rutronik aims to capitalise on this trend by providing comprehensive edge AI and computer vision solutions that are critical to improving operational efficiency and sustainability in the industrial, retail and commercial sectors.

Rutronik’s distribution expertise combined with VIA’s advanced technology platforms, positions both companies to meet the growing demand for edge computing solutions. It is expected that this collaboration will strengthen VIA’s market presence in Europe and accelerate the adoption of innovative edge AI technologies, which will ultimately drive digital transformation across various industries.
