Huawei smartphones belong to Huawei’s Consumer Business, which is one of Huawei’s three core businesses. The Consumer Business started at the end of 2003 and has established 16 R&D centres in China, Russia, Germany, Sweden, India, and the United States over more than ten years. Huawei has launched several large-screen smartphones. This article will introduce Huawei’s current largest non-foldable smartphone and two foldable smartphones.

Huawei’s biggest non-foldable screen smartphone

The Huawei Enjoy 60X smartphone comes in silver and orange colours. The orange variant features a plain leather back cover, a rear circular camera module, and a gold border around the module. It boasts a 6.95-inch large screen with a prominent speaker receiver placed on the screen. It has a dedicated button on the left side that can be customised for one-touch calling, launching apps, etc. It supports Super NFC, HarmonyOS 3.0, and offers storage options of 8GB+128/256/512GB.

The Huawei Enjoy 60X supports AOD technology, allowing notifications like time, missed calls, and messages to be visible on the screen even in standby mode. It houses a 7000mAh dual-cell battery supporting 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge, claimed to offer continuous video playback for 1.1 days, navigation for 1 day, talk time for 2.8 days, and music playback for 5 days.

Huawei’s biggest foldable screen smartphone

The Huawei Mate Xs is a 5G foldable screen smartphone launched by Huawei on February 24, 2020. When unfolded, it features an 8-inch display, while in a folded state, the main screen is 6.6 inches and the secondary screen is 6.38 inches. It weighs around 300 grams and comes in a blue colour variant.

The Mate Xs is powered by Huawei’s self-developed Kirin 990 5G processor based on 7nm process technology. It features a Leica quad-camera setup with various functions and a front camera with a wide-angle lens, voice control, and timer functions.

The Huawei Mate Xs adopts an outward folding design for the screen, avoiding excessive curvature and fold marks. Additionally, it doesn’t require an additional secondary screen on the back, making the device thinner and lighter. Compared to inward folding designs, where the screen needs to be unfolded for every use, the Mate Xs’ outward folding design aligns better with user habits.

Another smartphone with the same large screen is the Huawei Mate X2, launched by Huawei on February 22, 2021. It features a 6.45-inch flexible OLED outer screen and an 8-inch foldable flexible OLED inner screen. The Mate X2 is powered by the Kirin 9000 processor, has a 16MP front camera, and a quad-camera setup at the back. It includes a 4500mAh battery.

The Huawei Mate X2 is not just an upgraded version of the Huawei Mate Xs; it continues the Huawei Mate Xs’ unlimited imagination about foldable screens while also offering more practicality. It is not just a delicate display but a mature tool that can truly integrate into people’s lives.
