Vianet is first Nepal-owned firm to win at Asian Telecom Awards 2024

Vianet Communication Limited has clinched two prestigious titles, ‘Broadband Telecom Company of the Year’ and ‘Technology Innovation of the Year’, at the esteemed 2024 Asian Telecom Awards hosted in Singapore.

Vianet stood out for its world class customer service and introduction of new technology in the country, including fiber optics, IPTV, and the recent XGS multi-gig fiber technology.

The award ceremony, held on February 29th in Singapore, celebrated Vianet’s excellence among other ISPs and telecom firms from Nepal.

Vianet was selected by a distinguished panel of judges for its outstanding contributions and innovations, marking the first time a fully Nepalese-owned company has achieved such recognition in this category.

Noteworthy winners alongside Vianet this year included Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. for Technology Innovation of the Year – China, Jio Platforms Ltd. for Telecom Company of the Year – India, Smart Axiata for B2B Client Initiative of the Year – Cambodia, and Tata Communications Ltd. for Digital Initiative of the Year – India.
