In this exclusive interview with BTW Media, Cai Yiming, the founder of CREATE WORLD, introduce the company is an innovative platform designed to revolutionise 3D content creation through the power of advanced AI technology. By simplifying the process of generating intricate 3D digital scenes, CREATE WORLD makes it accessible to users of all skill levels, from professionals to hobbyists. The platform serves a wide range of industries, including smart cities, interior design, gaming, and entertainment, aiming to transform traditional workflows and enhance creativity.
Q1: Could you please briefly introduce the background of CREATE WORLD’s establishment and its core services after inception?
A: CREATE WORLD is a very early-stage startup established in May 2024. Our main product is an AI-driven three-dimensional digital world generation engine that allows users to create 3D digital scenes using AI. This can be applied in various fields, including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), the Metaverse, and industrial applications like smart cities and interior design. Essentially, we provide services that require 3D scenes.
Q2: What are the target markets and customer groups for CREATE WORLD? How do you typically promote your market?
A: Our target audience is quite broad, as CREATE WORLD is developing a universal 3D generation engine. We hope that in the future, everyone can create scene-level 3D content as easily as describing text or taking photographs. While we are creating a universal engine, we can provide services in many directions. Many industries around us involve 3D content—not just smart cities and interior design, but also construction, industrial smart sites, smart factories, gaming, film, and entertainment. Of course, in our early stages, we will still focus on our initial direction.
This allows us to complete tasks more quickly and at a lower cost, enabling more people to directly use our software to create their own 3D worlds.

Q3: What do you think your biggest advantages are compared to existing similar services or competitors?
A: Currently, companies that provide scene-level modelling services are generally midstream in the industry chain. They typically employ professional modellers using foreign software like 3DS MAX, Blender, or possibly Maya in gaming to complete these specialised tasks. This process is costly and time-consuming, leading to a severe shortage of 3D content for the average consumer. Our advantage lies in the fact that the vast majority of our work is completed by AI—95% of a scene may be generated by AI. This allows us to complete tasks more quickly and at a lower cost, enabling more people to directly use our software to create their own 3D worlds. Rapid 3D generation for social media is also something we can support.
Q4: What technical innovations does CREATE WORLD have, or what technical barriers have you broken through?
A: We do have some technical innovations. Without delving too deeply into the technical details, our greatest achievement to date is single-view 3D scene generation. We can take a single-angle image—specifically, a photograph taken casually with a mobile phone—and fully generate a three-dimensional digital representation of the content within that photo in a standard format that most software can open. We can then further render it into videos or images, allowing people to view or modify it. This represents a significant technical advantage for us.
Q5: What are your short-term and long-term goals?
A: In the short term, our goal is to achieve steady growth for the company. After all, we are only a five-month-old startup. While we are small and can easily pivot, our ultimate goal remains unchanged: to build the technological engine or platform for the digital world of the next era. We aim to lower the cost of 3D creation to the level of text and images, allowing everyone to participate in this industry. This has been our long-term goal—to create a non-existent ecosystem around 3D. That is our objective.
However, despite the challenging environment, I believe there are still many opportunities, especially due to the wave of generative AI’s impact across various sectors.

Q6: What do you think are the main opportunities and challenges that startups face in the current market environment?
A: The challenges are significant. Without discussing the market environment in detail, because it varies across different industries, everyone is talking about how financing has become difficult. This means that startups may not develop as rapidly as in previous years. For our company, the challenge is to combine our research and development with our business, ensuring we can successfully grow without hindering the development of our future 3D engine. However, despite the challenging environment, I believe there are still many opportunities, especially due to the wave of generative AI’s impact across various sectors. This has created more opportunities for startups, as established large enterprises are unlikely to quickly adopt entirely new technologies that could disrupt their existing models. Thus, this opens up space for startups to explore new ventures.
Q7: Although you just mentioned that you are a relatively new startup, do you have any experiences or advice to share with aspiring entrepreneurs entering this industry?
A: I am still exploring myself, so I wouldn’t claim to have much experience. However, I do have some lessons or feelings to share. If you decide to become an entrepreneur, regardless of your background, the most critical skill is learning ability. This has been my biggest realisation over the past few months. I previously worked in research and thought I was always learning, but after starting a business, I found I wasn’t learning quickly enough. I need to engage with as much content as possible in a limited time and translate that into insights to move forward alongside my company. Therefore, I believe learning ability is paramount—it’s essential to constantly learn rapidly on the entrepreneurial journey.
