HONOR: Lateral AI enables individuals

On June 27, HONOR Magic V2 won the Asia’s most smart phone award at this conference, and its excellent folding screen innovation and side AI experience have made users fold screens to a higher level, and consumers will be more willing to pay for human-centered AI terminals.

Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor Device Co., Ltd., announced two industry-leading on-device AI innovations in his keynote speech, marking a new phase of human-centric intelligent terminals. Zhao introduced the revolutionary features of the Honor Magic V3, which not only integrates powerful performance but also sets a new benchmark for foldable and lightweight design.

In his address, Zhao Ming showcased the revolutionary applications of AI Defocus Eye Protection and AI Deepfake Detection technologies. The AI Defocus Eye Protection technology adjusts screen focus based on the user’s environment and habits, significantly reducing the risk of transient myopia. Laboratory data indicates that users employing this technology experience an average reduction of 13 degrees in transient myopia indicators, with a maximum reduction of 75 degrees, signifying a major advancement from prevention to mitigation in screen eye protection technology.

“It is the duty of terminal manufacturers to enable hardware and benefit the public through end-side AI. Honor will continue to explore the possibility of end-side AI enabling terminals, so as to better help consumers in the era of AI and make individuals more powerful.”
