What happened
Ahead of the upcoming IFA show in Berlin, renowned tech tipster Evan Blass has leaked an early look at Lenovo’s upcoming new products. According to his post on social media X, Lenovo is planning to launch two new Copilot+ laptops, the IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 14-inch convertible laptop and the IdeaPad Slim 5x 14-inch legacy laptop. These laptops will be powered by the unannounced 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor, Qualcomm’s new CPU for Windows 11 devices. In addition, Lenovo plans to launch a Copilot+ line of products with Intel and AMD chips. These leaks may be tweaked before the official launch, including the price of the laptops.
Intel is also gearing up for IFA and plans to hold a launch event on 3 September to introduce its next-generation Ultra Core processors. These processors are based on the Lunar Lake architecture and will be the first to support Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC platform, with an emphasis on performance for generative AI applications. Intel’s launch event will be streamed live from Berlin to showcase its latest technological advances.
