    An Anti-DDoS VPN is a specialised VPN service designed to mitigate the impact of DDoS attacks on users’ internet connections. Unlike traditional VPNs that primarily focus on encryption and anonymity, Anti-DDoS VPNs incorporate advanced DDoS protection mechanisms to ensure uninterrupted access to online resources during attacks.

    Does a VPN prevent DDoS attacks?

    Halting a DDoS assault proves exceedingly challenging. Predominantly, hackers aim for well-known websites and public IP addresses. These attacks often stem from automated botnet scripts, frequently operating on unpredictable schedules. To evade preventive measures, hackers cease and restart attacks intermittently.

    Moreover, hackers’ endeavor to implant malware on hosts, thereby transforming them into launch platforms for subsequent assaults—referred to as “zombie hosts,” unrelated to “The Walking Dead” series. Without knowledge of your actual IP addresses, hackers lack a target for their DDoS scripts. Once they acquire your genuine IP address, options to halt the onslaught become limited.

    Thankfully, virtual private networks (VPNs) offer assistance by encrypting online traffic and concealing your authentic IP address behind the VPN server’s IP address.

    3 ways of how Anti-DDoS works

    1. Traffic filtering

    Anti-DDoS VPNs employ sophisticated traffic filtering techniques to distinguish between legitimate and malicious traffic. By routing internet traffic through their servers, these VPNs analyse incoming data packets in real time, filtering out DDoS attack traffic while allowing legitimate traffic to pass through seamlessly.
