BDx Data Centers unveils Phase 1 of advanced AI campus

What happened

BDx Indonesia, a joint venture of BDx Data Centers, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH), and Lintasarta, has announced the completion of Phase 1 of its AI campus CGK4 in Jatiluhur, Indonesia. This cutting-edge facility is Indonesia’s first renewable-powered AI data centre park and can be scaled up to 500MW.

The CGK4 campus features a high-power density of up to 120 kW per rack, innovative liquid cooling technologies, and high-speed connectivity. The facility is ideal for handling Generative AI workloads. It boasts an on-site team available 24/7, eight layers of security, and industry-leading certifications to ensure unparalleled customer reliability.

Why it’s important

Mayank Srivastava, CEO of BDx Data Centers, emphasised the company’s commitment to making Indonesia an AI-first nation. “We are the only data centre provider in the country offering up to 700MW of development potential spread across Indonesia. This sustainable and interconnected digital infrastructure supports training workloads at central sites and inference workloads across multiple locations nationwide. We are proud of our partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Lintasarta in creating a sovereign AI cloud for Indonesia,” he said.

Agus Hartono Wijaya, CEO of BDx Indonesia, highlighted the rapid deployment of Phase 1, completed in just 75 days. “BDx Indonesia and its JV partners are fostering an ecosystem that nurtures innovation to drive Indonesia’s digital transformation. Our partnership with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Lintasarta delivers state-of-the-art AI infrastructure. Moreover, we establish cloud infrastructure to support data sovereignty in Indonesia. We are thrilled to be a part of Indonesia’s journey to become a digital powerhouse. We are willing to empower Indonesian talent,” he said.

With its advanced AI learning and inference infrastructure, BDx Indonesia and its partners delve into realising the 2045 Golden Indonesia vision. Together, they aim to drive transformative change and ensure the benefits of AI are across the nation.
