Amazon AI assistant
The Q AI Assistant by Amazon is an innovative product launched by Amazon in its AWS cloud services. It provides users with a completely new way to access company data. This assistant is more than just a data querying tool; it takes on the role of an artificial intelligence assistant, allowing users to retrieve data from their business by asking questions. It presents information in a more intuitive and understandable manner, eliminating the need for users to navigate through extensive documents for cumbersome filtering.
Amazon Q can be accessed through various channels, including the AWS Management Console, specific company document pages, developer environments like Slack, and other third-party applications. This flexibility allows it to adapt to the diverse needs of different companies, providing users with tailored data access. What’s more intriguing is its ability to be programmed according to the preferences and working styles of different employees, thereby offering them a more personalized service.
This assistant can recognize and adhere to security parameters set by the user, ensuring that only authorized employees can access specific information, thereby preventing unauthorized access to sensitive data. Currently, Amazon Q is exclusively available for users of the AWS Contact Center service, Amazon Connect. However, there are plans to expand its availability to other Amazon services in the future, such as supply chain management and Amazon QuickSight.
According to The Verge, pricing for Amazon Q in Connect starts at $40 per agent per month. As per information on the AWS Connect website, users can avail a free trial of Amazon Q until March 1, 2024.
