What happened
Speculations about the iPhone SE 4 have been going on for about two years.Reports suggest that the Cupertino company is finally considering increasing the production of the iPhone SE 4 this October. Given that there was a four-year gap between the first two models and a two-year gap between the latter two, the current three-year gap seems plausible.
As reported by MacRumors, the anticipated iPhone SE 4 is expected to depart from the Touch ID feature of its predecessor, opting for a full-display design complemented by Face ID technology. With a screen size estimated at approximately 6.1 inches, it will represent a substantial increase in size compared to the existing iPhone SE 3, which boasts a 4.7-inch display. The new model is also rumored to incorporate a single camera lens, moving away from the dual or triple lens configurations seen in current iPhone models.
The previous iPhone SE was priced at $430, and Apple intends to maintain a similar affordability for the new model, aiming to keep it below the $500 mark. Although there might be a minor price hike due to inflation and rising costs of materials and manufacturing, the expectation is that the increase will be justifiable.

Why it’s important
The upcoming iPhone 16 is likely to be unveiled at Apple’s September event, so we might not hear any news about the SE 4 at that time. Based on past experience, next March is the most likely time.
The iPhone SE 4 retains the beloved compact form factor that has been a hallmark of the SE series, making it the perfect choice for users who appreciate portability without compromising on performance.
“The iPhone SE 4 is a testament to Apple’s commitment to delivering high-quality devices to every segment of the market,” said tech analyst Emma Williams.“ Its combination of performance, camera capabilities, and 5G support at such an accessible price point is a game-changer.”
Drawing on past experiences, the initial reaction in the UK market will likely be very positive, with consumers typically praising its value for money and its ability to match more expensive models in terms of features and performance.
