What happened: ARIN invites sponsors to join Internet policy event in Texas
The American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN) is now offering sponsorship opportunities for its ARIN 56 Public Policy and Members Meeting. The event is scheduled for October 30–31, 2025, in Arlington, Texas, and will follow NANOG 95.
This meeting provides a space for the Internet community to discuss policies, network, and better understand ARIN’s role in distributing Internet number resources. ARIN has introduced several sponsorship tiers, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, Exhibitor, Fellowship Programme, and Espresso Bar Sponsorship.
These packages aim to suit different budgets and offer varying levels of exposure. Sponsors may benefit from brand visibility and direct interaction with the ARIN community. For more information, ARIN encourages interested organisations to visit its sponsorship page or email them directly.

Why it’s important
ARIN is one of five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs). It allocates IP addresses and Autonomous System Numbers across the United States, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean. Its public policy meetings help shape Internet resource management through an open, community-led process.
However, the actual value of sponsorship remains unclear. While ARIN suggests that sponsors can “amplify their brand” and show “leadership,” it’s uncertain how much influence this brings.
Visibility in a technical policy forum may not translate to broader market impact. Furthermore, these sponsorships could favour established players over smaller or newer participants. Although they support transparency on paper, they might not broaden participation in practice.
