    • Sinch and Verizon broaden their partnership to enhance RCS for Business adoption in the U.S.
    • Businesses can now engage Verizon subscribers with secure, feature-rich messaging solutions.

What happened: Sinch and Verizon strengthen RCS for business messaging

Sinch has announced an expansion of its partnership with Verizon, one of the largest mobile network operators in the United States, to further advance the adoption of Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business Messaging (RBM). The agreement, unveiled during Enterprise Connect in Orlando, Florida, aims to provide businesses with broader RCS coverage, enabling them to reach Verizon subscribers with secure, interactive, and branded messaging solutions.

By deepening their collaboration, Sinch and Verizon are positioning RCS as a key tool for business communication, allowing companies to send feature-rich messages that enhance customer engagement. RCS for Business supports verified sender identification, rich media, interactive responses, and real-time analytics, such as read receipts. These elements help businesses foster greater trust with consumers by ensuring that messages come from authenticated sources over secure channels.

Sinch’s Customer Communications Cloud empowers businesses to deploy RCS solutions via APIs, an intuitive campaign builder, conversational AI tools, and seamless integrations with enterprise platforms. Companies such as EasyPark, Nespresso, major delivery firms, and global banks are already leveraging Sinch’s RCS technology to streamline communications. This expanded partnership with Verizon marks a significant step in ensuring businesses across the U.S. can harness the full potential of next-generation messaging solutions.

    Why it’s important

The expanded partnership between Sinch and Verizon is a notable development in the business messaging landscape, as it underscores the growing adoption of RCS in enterprise communications. RCS offers a more interactive and dynamic alternative to traditional SMS, incorporating rich media, branding, and enhanced security features that improve customer engagement and trust.

This collaboration aligns with broader industry trends, where telecom operators and technology providers are working together to modernise business messaging. By expanding RCS coverage to Verizon subscribers, Sinch is helping businesses reach a vast consumer base with advanced messaging capabilities. The inclusion of verified sender identities and encryption strengthens security, mitigating risks associated with phishing and spam.

Additionally, Sinch’s integration of RCS into its Customer Communications Cloud demonstrates the scalability of the technology. Large enterprises, including financial institutions and e-commerce giants, are increasingly adopting RCS to create seamless customer experiences. The ability to integrate conversational AI tools and campaign management features further enhances the value proposition for businesses looking to transition from SMS to a richer, more engaging communication channel.

As the adoption of RCS continues to grow, partnerships like the one between Sinch and Verizon play a critical role in shaping the future of enterprise messaging. This expansion reflects the increasing demand for secure, feature-rich, and interactive business communication solutions that align with evolving consumer expectations.
