    • Nokia to supply networking backbone for ResetData’s sovereign liquid‑cooled AI data centres across Australia.
    • FP5‑based Nokia 7750 routers deliver up to 800 Gb/s connectivity and cut energy use by 75%.

What happened: Nokia connects ResetData’s AI factory network

On 14 April 2025, Nokia was chosen by Australian cloud provider ResetData to deploy a high‑performance networking backbone for its ‘AI Factory’ data centres across Australia. The rollout will begin in Melbourne’s CBD, supported by Centuria Capital Group.

The solution centres on the Nokia 7750 Service Router powered by FP5 silicon. It offers lossless, low‑latency performance at up to 800 Gb/s and uses 75% less energy than previous generations. ResetData’s facilities use liquid immersion cooling to boost efficiency up to tenfold, cutting cloud costs by 40% and emissions by 45% for more sustainable AI cloud operations. The network will ensure data stays on‑shore for sovereign AI compliance and security. Nokia’s platform will function as a gateway to front‑end GPU clusters, handling precision timing and scaling from single GPUs to entire AI factories. The deployment supports a 19% year‑on‑year growth in Australia’s cloud services market. The partnership underscores Nokia’s commitment to sustainable digital infrastructure and national data sovereignty.

    Why it’s important

The deployment highlights the growing need for sovereign AI infrastructure in critical sectors. By keeping systems and data within national borders, Australia ensures compliance with domestic regulations and strengthens cybersecurity. The partnership may serve as a model for other countries seeking on‑shore AI capabilities. Nokia’s energy‑efficient FP5 routers and ResetData’s liquid immersion cooling combine to reduce operational costs and environmental impact. This approach can attract further investment in AI data centres and promote sustainable growth.

For enterprises and governments, clear pathways to deploy high‑performance AI workloads on‑shore bolster strategic autonomy. The success of this rollout may influence future policy on digital infrastructure and data sovereignty. It also underscores the importance of collaboration between technology providers and financial partners like Centuria Capital Group. As AI demand grows, robust, sustainable networking solutions will be key to national competitiveness and secure digital transformation.
