  • Lambda’s AI Developer Cloud will integrate into Aligned’s new liquid-cooled DFW-04 data centre in Plano, Texas.
  • The facility will support NVIDIA-accelerated AI workloads with scalable, energy-efficient infrastructure.

What happened: Lambda and Aligned partner on AI-focused data centre in Texas

Lambda, a leading GPU cloud provider for AI developers, has announced a strategic partnership with Aligned Data Centers. The partnership will establish a next-generation AI-ready data centre in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. Lambda will occupy Aligned’s DFW-04 facility, a liquid-cooled data centre for the highest-density GPUs available today.

The DFW-04 site is under construction in Plano, Texas, and will support Lambda’s trusted AI Developer Cloud platform. This platform serves engineers, technology enterprises, academic institutions, and AI startups around the world. Lambda will accelerate deployment of advanced AI workloads powered by NVIDIA Blackwell and Blackwell Ultra platforms. Aligned’s modular infrastructure and advanced cooling systems will support these large-scale, GPU-driven AI applications.

Aligned brings over a decade of expertise in energy-efficient, innovative data centre cooling technologies and operations. These include the award-winning Delta3™ air-cooled system and the patent-pending DeltaFlow™ liquid cooling system. The partnership helps both companies meet surging demand for AI compute space in markets such as Dallas. Interest in AI infrastructure is rapidly growing there, making scalable, high-performance solutions increasingly critical.

Why it is important

This partnership underscores the growing need for specialised, high-performance infrastructure to support modern AI applications, which are increasingly reliant on large-scale GPU clusters and advanced cooling capabilities. As AI models become more complex and resource-intensive, traditional data centres are struggling to keep pace — making liquid-cooled, high-density environments a critical enabler of next-generation innovation.

By integrating Lambda’s GPU cloud into Aligned’s adaptive, sustainable infrastructure, the companies aim to offer AI developers and businesses a scalable solution that can evolve alongside rapid advancements in AI hardware and workloads. The facility’s ability to accommodate cutting-edge NVIDIA platforms further future-proofs its relevance in the AI landscape.

With Plano emerging as a key tech hub, the DFW-04 data centre also strengthens the Dallas-Fort Worth region’s position as a destination for AI-driven enterprises. According to CBRE, the area already ranks among the top data centre markets in North America, reflecting strong demand and a favourable business environment for such large-scale digital infrastructure projects.
