What happened: Intel Xeon 6 powers Nvidia DGX B300

On 22 May 2025, Intel unveiled its sixth-generation Xeon server processors. The lineup introduced three new models designed to boost AI server performance. Notably, one of these processors will power Nvidia’s latest DGX B300 AI system. This integration signals a stronger collaboration between the two tech giants.

The DGX B300 is powered by Nvidia’s Blackwell Ultra GPUs. It delivers major improvements in AI training and inference performance. Intel’s Xeon 6 CPUs, equipped with Priority Core Turbo technology, help manage workloads dynamically. This technology shifts tasks between high-priority and low-priority cores for maximum efficiency.

Karin Eibschitz Segal, Intel’s corporate vice president and interim general manager of the Data Center Group, welcomed the partnership. She emphasised that the collaboration aims to speed up AI adoption across industries. This joint effort reflects a growing trend in the AI sector.
