What happened: New leadership at Plume

Daniel Herscovici, a former executive at Comcast, has been appointed as the CEO of Plume, a network optimisation firm. Herscovici spent over a decade at Comcast, where he was part of the founding team for Xfinity, the company’s home automation, IoT, and home security business unit. After leaving Comcast in 2018, he joined micro-mobility firm Zagster and investment firm Edison Partners. At Plume, he will lead the company’s efforts to provide Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for network control to Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and their subscribers, including households and small businesses. Co-founder Adam Hotchkiss, who had been serving as interim CEO, will transition to chief product officer to continue leading Plume’s long-term product vision and technology roadmap.

Plume aims to enable CSPs to deliver exceptional connected experiences through its AI-driven network control solutions. The company claims its AI engine can tap into billions of interactions to proactively resolve network issues and adapt services in real time. Herscovici’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance Plume’s global ambition and execution capabilities. “Connectivity, security, privacy, and control are the foundation of consumers’ daily lives, and Plume is at the forefront of making connectivity smarter, faster, and easier for everyone,” said Herscovici. His experience in building products that enhance consumers’ lives through connected services aligns well with Plume’s mission to solve problems before they happen and deliver measurable results for global partners.

The company’s focus on AI-driven network control solutions is crucial in an era where connectivity and security are paramount. By leveraging Herscovici’s expertise, Plume aims to enhance its global presence and deliver more effective solutions to CSPs and their subscribers.
