    • Ericsson’s head of networks, Fredrik Jejdling, will step down from his role on 15 March 2025.
    • Per Narvinger will replace Jejdling, while Jenny Lindqvist will take over Narvinger’s current role in cloud software and services.

What happened: Leadership changes at Ericsson

Ericsson has announced a significant executive reshuffle, with Fredrik Jejdling, the head of networks, stepping down from his role on 15 March 2025. Jejdling, who has been with the company since 2006 and part of the executive team since 2017, will remain as an executive advisor until June 2025. His departure is part of a broader leadership reorganisation aimed at improving customer experience and operational efficiencies.

Per Narvinger, who has led Ericsson’s cloud software and services since 2022, will succeed Jejdling as executive vice president and head of networks. Narvinger, a 1997 Ericsson alumnus, brings extensive experience in driving digital transformation and cloud services. Meanwhile, Jenny Lindqvist, who currently leads Ericsson’s Europe and Latin America business, will replace Narvinger in his current role. Lindqvist joined Ericsson in 2010 and became part of the executive team in 2023.

    Why it’s important

Ericsson’s leadership reshuffle is part of a strategic move to enhance customer experience and operational efficiencies. By consolidating three market areas into two, the company aims to streamline its operations while maintaining a strong customer focus. Yossi Cohen will head the new Americas market area, while Patrick Johansson will lead the Europe, Middle East & Africa division.

CEO Börje Ekholm highlighted that these changes are driven by the need to improve efficiencies and customer service, positioning Ericsson for continued success in the evolving telecommunications landscape.
