It is a decision about whether UltraNet Services can keep a household, shop or small office working when cheaper access, mobile data and national fibre brands are always close enough to be credible substitutes. The company matters because its visible economics sit in the awkward middle of Indian broadband: fast advertised plans, local installation work, building permissions, upstream discipline, scarce IPv4 addresses, customer support labour and a service promise that has to be renewed one account at a time.
