Limited is a licensed wireless internet provider in Bahawalnagar, an agrarian district town in southern Punjab where the nearest submarine cable landing is a thousand kilometres away and the nearest dollar is further still. Everything the company needs to move a megabit — international bandwidth, radios, routers, IP addresses, backup power — is priced in a currency Pakistan keeps running out of, while everything it can charge is priced in a currency that lost roughly half its dollar value in thirty months. Its public rate card has not moved since at least early 2023. That frozen price list, read against Pakistan's balance-of-payments crisis, is one of the clearest small-scale records anywhere of what a currency collapse does to the economics of connectivity.
