Kawasaki Robotics has the catalogue breadth of a mature industrial robot supplier, but the harder question is whether its arms, controllers, tools, support model and integration partners can carry a production handling or process step into an accepted workcell state. In factories, the value of a robot is not proven when an arm moves in a demonstration. It is proven when the part arrives in a repeatable place, the program chooses a safe path, the tool grips or welds or sprays correctly, the operator can recover from ordinary variation, and the cell keeps producing after the integrator leaves.
