Samuel Harris Altman
Samuel Harris Altman is an American entrepreneur and investor, best known as the CEO (chief executive officer) of OpenAI since 2019 (he was briefly fired and reinstated in November 2023). Altman is considered to be one of the leading figures of the AI boom.
In 2021, he set up a startup fund to support high-quality AI startups through an incubator model, paving the way for OpenAI to be embedded in massive application scenarios and exponential growth in the future.

Greg Brockman
Greg Brockman is an American entrepreneur, investor, and software developer who is a co-founder and currently the president of OpenAI. He began his career at Stripe in 2010, upon leaving MIT, and became their CTO (chief technology officer) in 2013. He left Stripe in 2015 to co-found OpenAI, where he also assumed the role of CTO.
Adam D’Angelo
Adam D’Angelo is an American internet entrepreneur. He is best known for his role as the co-founder and CEO of Quora. In 2018, he joined the board of directors of OpenAI.
Lawrence Henry Summers
Lawrence Henry Summers is an American economist who served as the 71st United States Secretary of the Treasury from 1999 to 2001. In November 2023, Summers joined the board of directors of the artificial general intelligence company OpenAI.
Bret Steven Taylor
Bret Steven Taylor is an American computer programmer and entrepreneur. He is most notable for leading the team that co-created Google Maps and his tenures as the CTO of Facebook (now Meta Platforms), as the chairman of Twitter. Since 2023, he has been chairman of OpenAI and a board member of Shopify.

Sue Desmond-Hellmann
Sue Desmond-Hellmann is an American oncologist and biotechnology leader who served as the CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from 2014 to 2020. In March 2024 she was elected as a board member of OpenAI.
Nicole Seligman
Nicole Seligman is an American attorney and corporate director. She is the former executive vice president and general counsel of Sony and the former president of Sony Corporation of America. In March 2024, Seligman joined OpenAI’s Board of Directors.
Fidji Simo
Fidji Simo is a French-American businessperson and the CEO and Chair of Instacart. Before taking that position, she was head of the Facebook app at Facebook, and vice president of video, games, and monetization. She co-founded The Metrodora Institute, a health clinic and research institute, and is currently president of The Metrodora Foundation. In March 2024, she joined OpenAI’s board of directors.
