  • Telehouse Enters Toronto Market: Telehouse is expanding its data centre operations into Toronto, aiming to meet growing demands for scalable and secure digital infrastructure.
  • Sustainable and High-Density Solutions: The company is investing in advanced cooling technologies and renewable energy to manage increased power needs while maintaining operational efficiency.

What happened: Telehouse’s expansion reflects Canada’s growing data centre potential

Canada’s digital economy is rapidly evolving, with significant investments in AI and data infrastructure. The Canadian government’s focus on building a world-leading AI ecosystem has created opportunities for data centre providers.

Telehouse is at the forefront of this transformation, with its recent expansion into Toronto. The company aims to provide robust, scalable, and secure data centre solutions to support the growing needs of enterprises.

Toronto, as a major connectivity hub, is an ideal location for Telehouse’s expansion, with over 50% of Canada’s carriers and service providers operating within its data centres. Telehouse’s commitment to innovation includes leveraging advanced cooling systems, such as the world’s largest deep lake water cooling system, Enwave, which uses Lake Ontario’s cold water to reduce energy consumption.

Why it’s important

Telehouse’s expansion in Canada reflects the growing importance of data centres in supporting the country’s digital transformation. As AI and cloud services drive higher power and cooling demands, innovative solutions like Telehouse’s lake water cooling system offer sustainable and efficient alternatives.

This expansion also highlights Canada’s potential as a global leader in AI data centres, supported by its advanced tech ecosystem and commitment to renewable energy. By aligning with Canada’s ambitious digital goals, Telehouse is well-positioned to meet future technological demands while contributing to sustainability.
