Ocean Wave Communications Philippines launches Leyte broadband network

Ocean Wave Communications (Philippines) officially launched in March 2023. It received its local ISP licence on 3 November 2021. Headquartered in Tacloban City, it began assembling its ISP team in early 2023. By September 2023, it deployed a GPON fibre-optic access network. Its internal BOSS operations platform went live in December 2019. The company started fibre broadband service in Tacloban and Palo in December 2023. It has experience in fibre-optic engineering projects over several years.

Ocean Wave also entered a co-marketing agreement with DITO in mid-2024. This supports bundled connectivity options for consumers. In August 2024, the Chinese Consulate General visited its headquarters. The company focuses on quality deployment and regional expansion. It has earned international certifications in network quality and compliance.
