  • LARUS held more than 50 meetings with telecom and infrastructure players at MYNOG‑12, laying groundwork for potential IPv4 leasing deals and reseller engagements.
  • The event underscored growing IPv4 demand in the region and increased interest in flexible leasing models amid digital expansion.

What happened: LARUS explores IPv4 leasing opportunities at MYNOG‑12 in Malaysia

The 12th Malaysia Network Operators Group meeting (MYNOG‑12), held on 24 June in Kuala Lumpur, attracted network professionals, ISPs and tech providers across Southeast Asia. The agenda featured discussions on routing security, IPv6 adoption, peering, and network automation, fostering both formal learning and informal networking.

For LARUS, the event presented a timely opportunity to explore IPv4 leasing, reseller models, and cross-border infrastructure support. They engaged with regional operators such as Orient Telecom, China Telecom Malaysia, Telekom Malaysia, U Mobile and PT Herza Internet, where discussions centred on IP provisioning, agile cloud networking, and scaling strategies.

Why it’s important

As demand for IPv4 addresses grows in Southeast Asia, this wave of engagement highlights a tightening market for IP resources. LARUS’s discussions show how leasing models and reselling arrangements may help operators bridge infrastructure gaps efficiently—though the long-term feasibility of such strategies remains to be tested. Continued outreach may set the stage for future technical collaboration and regional expansion in the internet infrastructure space.
