What happened: Strengthening Indo-UK collaboration in 5G, 6G, and AI

India has deepened its partnership with the UK in telecommunications, AI, and emerging technologies. Dr. Neeraj Mittal, India’s Secretary of Telecommunications, visited the UK to explore potential collaborations. His visit included meetings with UK officials, including Chris Johnson and Dave Smith, focusing on 5G, 6G, and digital infrastructure security. The discussions also involved AI applications and telecom security. Dr. Mittal toured the UK’s Federated Telecom Hub (CHEDDAR), a key research centre for 6G and AI. This partnership aims to advance joint initiatives such as AI for telecom security and development of digital twins.
