    • DigitalBridge and La Caisse complete takeover of Yondr Group, appointing new leadership under CEO Aaron Wangenheim and CFO Sandip Mahajan.
    • Yondr’s 420 MW committed capacity and scaling potential bolster the buyers’ stake in the AI‑focused hyperscale market, though expansion success remains to be seen.

What happened: DigitalBridge and La Caisse finalise Yondr Group acquisition

DigitalBridge and La Caisse have finalised their acquisition of global hyperscale data centre operator Yondr Group from Cathexis Holdings. The deal sees joint control of Yondr, with former Cathexis CEO William Harr ison retiring. Aaron Wangenheim has been appointed CEO and Sandip Mahajan CFO of Yondr. Yondr already has over 420 MW of committed capacity and the potential to scale beyond 1 GW, serving major hyperscale and AI‑oriented clients.

    Why it’s important

The acquisition enhances DigitalBridge and La Caisse’s position in the fast-growing hyperscale and AI‑driven data centre space. Yondr’s sizeable committed capacity and global footprint align with demand trends in cloud and AI workloads. However, integrating operations under new leadership and sustaining high growth will test the partnership’s long-term execution capabilities
