- BDx Indonesia secures 30 MVA from PLN to power its AI data centre campuses, including DGX‑Ready CGK4.
- The move strengthens BDx’s digital infrastructure footprint in Southeast Asia, though energy supply and regulation remain key to its success.
What happened: BDx Indonesia secures 30 MVA power deal for AI-ready data centres
BDx Indonesia, a subsidiary of U.S.-backed BDx Data Centers, has signed a power purchase agreement with Indonesia’s state electricity provider, PT PLN (Persero), securing 30 MVA of capacity to support its expanding operations. The agreement will underpin the CGK3A campus in South Jakarta and the CGK4 AI campus in Jatiluhur—which is among the country’s first to earn NVIDIA DGX‑Ready certification for AI training and inference.

Why it’s important
Securing reliable, scalable power is a critical enabler for AI-focused data centres, which require much higher electricity capacity than traditional facilities. BDx’s deal with PLN supports its regional strategy to develop interconnected digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia. But the success of the plan will depend on continued grid stability, regulatory support, and the firm’s ability to manage long-term demand for clean, high-density energy.
