On February 28th, executives from Intel, during interviews at MWC 2024, stated that the tech industry is seeking the next growth driver, with Intel aiming to supply processors for over 100 million AI PCs by 2025.
Feng Dawei, Vice President of Intel’s Client Computing Division and General Manager of the Client Segmentation Market, estimated deliveries of 40 million AI PCs this year, and 60 million next year, aiming for AI PCs to capture over 20% of the global PC market by the end of 2025.

There will be novel AI experiences in 2024
Feng emphasised the importance of not only providing performance-equivalent processors but also ensuring balanced software ecosystem development through continued interaction with developers. He highlighted Intel’s collaboration with over 100 software vendors, Windows 11, and Copilot, promising novel AI experiences in 2024, alongside device upgrades and AI readiness preparations.
Feng discussed future partnerships to explore various AI capabilities, including video conference gaze tracking, background removal, sign language translation, automatic presentation creation based on cues, and leveraging NPU resources for antivirus collaboration.
