On February 23 HGC Global Telecommunications (HGC Global) hosted a media luncheon and talk on HGC’s telecommunications and information and communications technology (ICT) business in Hong Kong.

The conference highlighted the development direction of Hong Kong’s telecommunications industry in 2024 and the challenges posed by cyber security trends, while speakers shared the relevant preparations of the telecommunications industry on the Cyber Security (Critical Infrastructure) Bill and initiatives related to the telecommunications industry.

Present and Future

We saw unease among business leaders in this year’s CEO survey of 1,774 ceos in the region.The path ahead remains unclear. Their views on the global economy are split :45 percent expect it to decline in 2024, while 40 percent expect it to improve in 2024. Ninety-seven percent of current Asia-Pacific CEOs have taken at least some action, while 63 percent believe their company will no longer be viable in ten years if they continue on their current path.
