After a year and a half year of lengthy negotiations, the acquisition was officially announced on November 22,2023. After joining Broadcom, the official name of VMware was also changed to VMware by Broadcom, becoming an important business unit of Broadcom Software Group. Therefore, VMware Broadcom refers to products developed in partnership to address the acceleration of digital transformation and the growing demand for cloud computing.
