Wayflyer, the Irish lendtech company providing non-dilutive funding to e-commerce businesses, has named Victor Tuson Palau as its first Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Tuson Palau, who will work remotely from Spain, is expected to lead Wayflyer’s distributed technology team and drive the company’s next phase of growth. His focus will be on scaling the firm’s profitability as it expands its services beyond the e-commerce sector to include wholesale businesses.

Before joining Wayflyer, Tuson Palau served as the Chief Product and Technology Officer at the Austrian investment platform Bitpanda, where he managed a team of 250 people. He brings more than 20 years of experience in senior engineering and product roles at companies like Canonical, Bitnami, and Ebury. Tuson Palau is also the co-founder of sustainability start-up Greengame.

Wayflyer, which achieved unicorn status following its Series B in 2022, has deployed over $4.5 billion in working capital to help thousands of e-commerce brands globally. The company secured a $1 billion financing deal with Neuberger Berman in 2023, further solidifying its position in the lendtech space.
