    • MyFatoorah and Mastercard team up to enhance digital payments in the Middle East
    • The new platform aims to improve payment processing for over 75,000 merchants across the region

    What happened

MyFatoorah and Mastercard announced on November 29 that they will collaborate to launch the Middle East Digital Payment Gateway platform. MyFatoorah, a leading payments platform and the only payment service provider (PSP) licensed in all GCC countries offering payment solutions across the Middle East, has announced its strategic collaboration with Mastercard to introduce new digital payment gateway platform, powered by Mastercard Gateway.

This new collaboration will serve to streamline payment processing for businesses and consumers across the Middle East, including the GCC, Jordan, and Egypt. The platform integrates Mastercard’s secure and innovative payment technology, offering fast, efficient, and reliable solutions to over 75,000 merchants. The partnership aims to address the growing demand for secure digital payment methods in e-commerce and provides businesses with enhanced fraud prevention tool.

    What it’s important

This partnership reflects a broader trend in the Middle East, where digital payments are gaining traction, particularly in the e-commerce sector. With increasing online shopping, secure and seamless payment gateways are essential for both merchants and consumers. This collaboration is vital for driving economic growth, as it supports businesses in navigating the region’s growing digital economy. The Middle East, with its rapidly advancing infrastructure and tech adoption, is becoming a key market for global payment providers. By integrating Mastercard’s world-class technology, MyFatoorah strengthens its position as a leader in the regional payment solutions space.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with broader global efforts to increase financial inclusion by ensuring secure and scalable digital payments for a wider audience. The partnership’s positive impact is clear—by bringing Mastercard’s advanced technology to MyFatoorah, smaller businesses gain access to secure, efficient payment systems that were once reserved for large enterprises. For instance, local startups like Fatora have experienced significant growth through similar integrations, empowering them to compete in a digital-first economy. Moreover, this trend ties into global efforts to improve financial inclusion, offering tools that support not only business expansion but also consumer trust. By facilitating a smooth transition into digital payments, MyFatoorah and Mastercard are contributing to a more inclusive and resilient economic environment in the region.
