SCPT CEO meets National Assembly President to discuss future projects

On July 17, 2024, Sandra Tshibonge Mbiye, CEO of the Société Congolaise des Postes et Télécommunications (SCPT), met with Vital Kamerhe, President of the National Assembly, to discuss the state of the company and its future plans. The meeting centred around the SCPT’s ongoing projects and its proposal to provide internet services to the Assembly.

Strategic meeting between SCPT and National Assembly

During the meeting, SCPT CEO Sandra Tshibonge Mbiye presented an overview of the company’s current operations and long-term vision. She proposed that SCPT supply the National Assembly with internet connectivity through its fibre optic network, a suggestion that was well-received by President Vital Kamerhe. Kamerhe expressed his support for the initiative, highlighting the importance of enhancing the company’s capabilities and promising to advocate for SCPT at the highest levels of government, including with the President and Prime Minister. A partnership agreement between SCPT and the National Assembly for internet service provision is expected to follow.
