REDtone Digital Bhd, a prominent integrated telecommunications and digital infrastructure provider in Malaysia, has secured a RM398.1 million contract from the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu) to deliver unified communications solutions. This significant win underscores the company’s growing influence in the region’s digital landscape.

Contract details and implications

The contract, awarded to REDtone’s wholly-owned subsidiary, REDtone Engineering & Network Services Sdn Bhd, will span 60 months, commencing on 1 February 2024. The scope of work includes providing comprehensive unified communications services such as email systems, calendar management, audio and video conferencing, chat platforms, and directory management. Additionally, the contract covers change management services, including user training, software support, and information security management.

This contract is expected to have a positive impact on REDtone Digital’s future earnings, further solidifying its position as a key player in Malaysia’s digital infrastructure market. The company’s shares have shown strong performance, closing up 5.08% at 93 sen on the day of the announcement, with a market capitalisation of RM727.7 million. Over the past year, REDtone’s stock has risen 75.47%, reflecting investor confidence in its growth prospects.
